Who We Are

About the Academy

The Orthopaedic Foundation Learning Academy advances surgical excellence through immersive, cadaver-based education.

Who We Are & Our Philosophy

At the Orthopaedic Foundation Learning Academy, we don't just teach — we train. We provide specialized continuing medical education that elevates the competence and performance of musculoskeletal health providers. Through a robust blend of hands-on bioskills labs, live clinical sessions, and flexible on-demand learning, our courses are designed to translate evidence-based knowledge into immediate practical knowledge for clinical practice.

The Learning Academy bridges the gap between medical knowledge and procedural proficiency. We believe that the best learning happens with your hands in the tissue, guided by faculty who perform these procedures every day. Every Learning Academy course is designed around a single principle: when healthcare providers leave our lab, they feel more prepared — not just more educated.

Clinicians training hands-on in the bioskills lab

A Legacy of Hands-On Innovation

Anchored by our Bioskills Lab — the largest and most cutting-edge surgical cadaver training center in Manhattan — the Learning Academy leverages this premier infrastructure to translate anatomy and clinical theory into hands-on proficiency. Celebrating 20 years of educational excellence, we bring together healthcare providers, medical device innovators, and healthcare organizations for high-impact, immersive learning. Through our intensive curriculum, we provide the advanced, real-world training necessary to master your skills and elevate your practice.

The Learning Academy Difference

Cadaver Labs, Not Simulations

Every course uses fresh-frozen cadaveric specimens. You practice on real tissue with real implants — the closest experience to the OR outside of the OR.

Expert Faculty, Small Groups

All courses are taught by fellowship-trained surgeons and musculoskeletal healthcare providers with a maximum of 1:4 cadaver-to-participant ratio.

CME Accredited

Courses award applicable continuing education credit — designated on a course-by-course basis — satisfying licensure and board maintenance-of-certification requirements.

Procedure-Focused Curriculum

Courses are structured to maximize repetitions. Each participant performs the procedure multiple times, building the muscle memory that matters.
